Summary
To sign in, we only ask for your mobile number. The ID we assign to your PC is a random number and is not derived from any hardware serial number. Videos, clips and data usage history stay on your own PC. When a significant error occurs, the app sends us its log; likewise, each time you use the GPU tuning section, a report of that run is sent to us. Both happen only when your PC is linked to an account.
What we collect on the website
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Mobile number | Creating your account and signing in with an SMS code |
| Name (optional) | Addressing you by name |
| Orders and subscriptions | Invoicing, renewals and support |
| Server logs: IP address, browser and time of request | Security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting |
| Consultation requests | Holding the session and following up afterwards |
The SMS code is stored in hashed form, expires shortly after it is issued, and can be used only once.
What reaches us from the app
Phoenix Guardian does most of its work on your own PC. What actually leaves it is the following:
1. Automatic error reports
When a significant error appears in the log, the log file is compressed and sent to our team, so that we know what happened without you having to do anything. To keep this from turning into a flood of messages, it is capped: at most three times in 24 hours per PC, and the same error is not sent again for one day.
2. GPU tuning usage reports
Each time undervolt tuning, memory overclocking or a fan curve scan is run, a report of that run is sent to us: its result and an excerpt of that run’s log. This report is not filtered, meaning it is sent whether the run succeeds or fails. The reason is simple: this section works directly with your hardware, and we need to know how it behaves on real cards.
3. Bug reports, when you send them
In the bug report section, your text is sent together with the app log and your hardware specs. Nothing is sent until you press the button.
4. Device heartbeat
Every so often, the app tells the server that it is running and checks its subscription. This message contains the device ID, the app version and the subscription status.
What the log contains: the app’s own events, hardware specs and Windows version, the names of games or apps that Guardian has worked with (for example, for recording or blocking), and errors.
What the log does not contain: passwords, the contents of your files, browser history, the text of your chats, or any image of your screen.
What never leaves your PC
- Videos and clips. They are saved to your own disk. They are uploaded only when you yourself press “Send to Telegram”.
- Per-app data usage history. It stays in a database on your PC, and you can clear it whenever you like.
- Your gaming profiles and settings. These are stored locally.
- Live temperatures and FPS. They are read in order to display them on your own screen, not to send them anywhere.
Device ID
Each installation receives a unique ID, which is a random number generated by the app itself. It is not derived from component serial numbers, your Windows serial number or your MAC address, so it cannot be used to track you across other services. It is used for only two things: counting the devices on your subscription and delivering messages to the right device.
You can remove any device you no longer want from your account. Once a device is removed, its ID also stops working.
Telegram
Connecting Telegram is optional, and much of the app works without it. If you connect it:
- Alerts, reports and files you send pass through Telegram and are also stored on Telegram’s servers. Telegram’s own policy applies to them, not ours.
- The numeric ID of your Telegram account is stored by us so that we know where to send messages.
- You can disconnect it at any time from your account or from within the app.
SMS
To send your sign-in code, your number is provided to our SMS service provider. The provider uses the number only for that delivery. We do not send promotional SMS messages.
Payment
Your card details never reach us. Payment is made on the bank’s page, and the only information returned to us is the transaction result and a tracking code. We keep these for invoicing and follow-up.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data or give it to anyone for advertising. Data is exchanged only with the following parties, and only to the extent necessary: our SMS service provider, the payment gateway and bank, Telegram (if you have connected it) and our server hosting provider. If a legal authority requests information, we will cooperate within the framework of the law.
How long we keep it
- Account and subscription: for as long as your account remains open.
- Invoices: as required by statutory financial record-keeping obligations.
- Error logs sent from the app: until the issue has been investigated, for a few months at most.
- Server logs: short-term, for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
You can view and correct your account data, or request that your account be deleted. To have it deleted, send a request to support. Deleting your account also terminates any active subscription, and this cannot be reversed, so make sure beforehand that this is what you want.
Cookies
The website sets only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to secure forms. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking.
Changes to this page
Whenever the behavior of the app or the website changes, this page is updated at the same time and we update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will notify you through your account.
